Paris&Co names the 71 startups selected for 2017 Sustainable Cities awards

On 12 June 2017, Paris&Co unveiled the 71 startups that have won 2017 Sustainable Cities awards.

Paris&Co's innovation clusters - Rolling Lab, Tomorrow's Real Estate and Circular Economy - worked with their respective partners to select the award winners and produce a list of themes reflecting the strategic challenges they address.

The first cohort of startups is set to move into the Circular Economy business incubator, which is in its first year of operation. A total of 19 startups were selected from among 56 applicants by a judging panel consisting of the incubator's founder members (Ecofolio, E. Leclerc, Veolia, Vicat and Ville de Paris). These startups, operating in a variety of sectors including urban farming, waste recovery, deposit schemes and processing facility optimisation, will receive specialist support for a year and may be eligible for a subsidy of up to €30,000.

Another highlight of 2017 will be the opening of a new incubator facility, at Chapelle International, a major logistics centre that from September will accommodate the startups that form the Rolling Lab, a facility specialising in sustainable urban mobility and logistics. Carrefour, Colas, FM Logistic, Nov@log Groupe RATP, Groupe La Poste, Sogaris and Total are the eight founder members of this innovation centre.

In 2017, four new partners are joining Tomorrow's Real Estate (Immobilier de Demain), which now has 13 members: Altarea Cogedim, BNP Paribas Real Estate, Cisco, Eiffage, Gecina, Icade, Kardham, Kaufman&Broad, Legrand, Nexity, Poste Immo, Quartus and the Saretec Group.
