Notification of the partnership between the international network of circular economy platforms and Normandy Circular Economy (Normandie Economie Circulaire - NECI)

Implementation of the circular economy involves sharing knowledge and networking with all of the vital forces of society. The international circular economy network asserts itself as a forum for promoting projects and meeting the people involved. In 2015, it was able to highlight feedback from over 380 projects and as many project promoters (companies, local authorities and associations) in different areas. It now has 2,700 members.
In this context and on the occasion of the first Normandy circular economy conferences (Assises Normandes de l’Economie Circulaire), the international network of circular economy platforms is proud to announce the partnership with the Normandy region and its regional circular economy platform: NECI (Normandie Economie Circulaire).
The Normandy circular economy committee composed of the Region, the State and ADEME (CREC), which runs NECI, shares the objectives of the Network by promoting the development and promotion of circular economy initiatives.
This regional momentum is fully in line with this partnership with the Network, which will help to:
- Share news and initiatives led by regions within the Network on the NECI platform;
- Give visibility to Normandy news and initiatives by promoting them on the Network's international platform;
- Allow people involved in the circular economy in Normandy to benefit from sharing the Network’s tools.
About NECI:
In order to promote cross-functional organisation and cooperation, the Normandy Region is developing NECI, Normandie Economie Circulaire, a collaborative platform that aims to identify people, resources and initiatives, and to help them to network in order to create a regional ecosystem for the circular economy. It is run by the regional committee for circular economy (CREC) and receives contributions from clubs and networks.

About the international network of circular economy platforms
By developing the international network of circular economy platforms, the Institut national de l’économie circulaire (National institute for the circular economy) and CIRIDD want to set up a common forum with the commitment of everyone involved in the circular economy. This ecosystem helps to develop the circular economy in regions and companies through multi-stakeholder cooperation and action combining efficient resource use, creation of economic value, well-being and the protection of biodiversity.
