In November 2016, Institut Montaigne published a report entitled "Économie circulaire, réconcilier croissance et environnement (Circular Economy: reconciling growth and environment)", also available as a free to download digital version.

Eight proposals for a new growth model compatible with the natural balance of our environment, economic development and empowerment of citizens and consumers.

The transition to an economy that is more circular than linear has begun. What approach should be adopted to speed it up?

Five principles should guide what we do: Promote innovation; Deploy a global vision, both in terms of supply and demand; Consider the differences between sectors and encourage public/private cooperation; Measure progress; Do not only consider the most developed countries
