Description

Initiated together by CTTÉI and its many regional partners, CREDDO is proud to have been supporting the Synergie Outaouais project since 2015.

With regard to the different priority issues defined as part of its mission, namely the management of residual materials, climate change and the promotion of sustainable development, CREDDO is looking at industrial ecology. With its many economic, social and environmental opportunities, it has quickly positioned itself as a solution that is relevant to the different issues in the region. Extending the life cycle of resources by an approach aimed at moving from a linear to an optimized economy is also part of the 3RV hierarchy (Reduction, Reuse, Recycling/Composting, Valuation).

Creating links in the industrial fabric can therefore be seen as a powerful tool promoting sustainable development with companies. In the Outaouais region, people involved in the economy now have the opportunity to consult each other and benefit from support in residual materials management. By developing short circuits reflecting the characteristics of the region, substantial gains can be easily perceived by the companies.

This project provides a unique opportunity to experiment and define the basics of a new development model. The latter is based on the pillars of the circular economy in order to increase productivity, innovation and optimization of post-marketing residual materials among Outaouais companies.
