Recyter Programme – 2017 Call for Proposals - The circular economy as a vector for cooperation between businesses
In order to satisfy the requirements set out in the French energy transition for green growth Act and address the challenge of decreasing and recovering waste generated by economic activity in the Paris region, the Paris Île-de-France chamber of commerce and industry (CCI) has partnered with Île-de-France Regional Council to issue a second call for proposals under the Recyter community recycling programme.
Recyter provides support to SMEs and communities in the Paris region in matters relating to prevention, management and recovery of waste from economic activity. Another aim is to promote responsible production methods and inform businesses regarding the services available through the "Filières à Responsabilité Elargie du Producteur" business waste management mechanisms.
The call for proposals concerns private entities, consortiums and local authorities seeking to implement business waste prevention, management and recovery policies, or receive support with efforts to encourage and implement cooperation on waste management between local businesses.
The four projects selected in 2017 will receive support from the Paris Île-de-France CCI, in the form of:
- information workshops to foster dialogue and experience sharing relating to the management of material waste flows;
- project sponsorship aimed at generating geographic and industrial ecology synergies between companies in the area of material and waste flows.
- individual support for SMEs participating in the project, with the aim of producing a qualitative and quantitative assessment of the relevant material and waste flows, and support their efforts to streamline those flows and optimise the related costs.
