The winners of the 3rd circular economy awards (2016)


The 3rd circular economy awards ended on November 29, 2016 with the awards ceremony, which took place in Lyon at Pollutec 2016. There were 7 awards


The winners are:

  • Local authority award: The Brittany region, for its circular economy deployment strategy in the region with 8 pilot projects
  • Transition company award: The SEB group for guaranteeing that its products can be repaired for a period of 10 years
  • Circular company award: Stimergy for its digital boiler that recovers heat from data centres
  • Education award: The National Council of Automobile Professionals (Conseil National des Professionnels de l’Automobile), for its OMSA degree in recycling and recovery of end-of-life vehicles
  • Association award: Idée Alsace, for leading and supporting circular economy and functional economy in the Grand Est Region
  • New technologies award: Co-Recyclage, for fighting against waste through reuse using digital

An additional category was designated by the judges. The winner is:

  • Special “judge’s favourite” category Morphosis, for its refining and processing unit for precious metals recovered from WEEE
